Wedding details

10July 2004!!!!

As you probably know, we are tying the knot on the 10th July here in Geneva!

More details, vital information and stuff are to come on this web site... but in the meantime here are a couple of links:

  • Where's the party?!
  • How to get there.... - We looked into renting a big bus and driver for the day. Unfortunately this was a rather expensive option. All overseas guest and their hosts will have a ride sorted out for them. This is from where they are staying, to the Mairie and then on to the reception. Either in the bright orange fun van kindly driven by Sam or Laurant .. a few shuttle runs thru the country side, or organized by Jillian and others...
  • ....and back again! Leave your car there! No drink driving! (and it is an open bar!!!!) We will prebook 6 seater taxi vans which have been quoted at about 45chf - 60chf back to Geneva - that is only 10chf each!!  The next day, either at least one car will be going back, or the bus takes 24mins from Vollandes or Rive, getting off at Chevrens and walking 15mins. On Sundays it and leaves at 15 and 45mins past each hour to get you there and back to your car. www.tpg.ch or timetable from Rive
  • Gifts. Some people have been asking us what we want... We are living in a very tiny (but ultra funky) apartment, we really don't have much space for gifts. Then again, there are a few selected items that we want or need to buy, that would make our life easier or nicer: a food processor (mixer), a BMX sportser, a plasma TV, a guided tour on the moon, a Honeymoon in Sicily, a trip to New Zealand, a trip to the Oort cloud (and back) etc... Knowing personally well what we are looking for, we'd enjoy the pleasure of buying the previously listed dream items ourselves. That's why instead of you buying us those gifts, just gave us a pretty envelope with some money inside! (we hope this isn't rude or too impersonal!!) Thanks for understanding!! xox
  • Dress - Another common question. It's as you feel comfortable, sexy and funky (that's pretty open ah!)  Some women are wearing posh hats, which is always good fun!!! I've been having heavy conversations with the weather gods, so hopefully it will be warm and dry - www.meteoswiss.ch
  • The reception party will be held at Champs-Lignot vineyard, with a groovy view over the vines, Lake Leman and the Jura mountain range - http://www.champs-lingot.ch
  • The accommodation for some of the guests is at Hotel PAX. This costs 150chf for a double room with bathroom and breakfast. It is on the same street as us (rue du 31 decembre) and is only a 5 minute walk to ours (and pretty hard to get lost in-between!!!) - http://www.hotel-pax-geneva.ch/
  • PS - just updated the Venice photos... have a peek!
